IN THE myths of creation water is the spring and place of birdh of life, but also a disruptive and destroying element. In the work "A Dive" I describe the hovering and fragile edge of the experienced reality. Sinking under water blocks one's breathing, wich is the most automatic way of being in contact with one's surroundings.The work dives into the unnamed state of experience, the afterlive level of the physical reality is present in it. Its movement is constant crossing of the border. A jump into the unknown: water, subconscious and death as elements; on the other hand life, children and crossing the threshold of youth.
IN THE video "A Dive" I continue to handle the ways of being and acting of man through corporality. Being under water changes the experience of gravity, the senses of skin become more sensitive and the organism is in an exeptional state. Man's corporality, quality of experience and direct relationship with the world bring about tensions, wich I handle in my works. Going under water children shake the boundaries of safe and controlled life thus revealing a human need to seek for and experience something new; a facinating cycle of fear, terror and relief.
